Realizing forest health through responsible wood products.
Timbershed manufactures wood products that reduce wildfire risk, restore ecosystems, and build a vibrant, circular, forest stewardship economy.
Every Forested-Community Needs a Timbershed
This public-private partnership (P3) model is designed to:
Establish a wood-based bioeconomy rooted in ecological forest stewardship
Reduce wildfire risk across priority landscapes
Create skilled, living-wage jobs in forestry, manufacturing, and procurement
Preserve critical rural infrastructure under threat of conversion
Serve as a replicable model for community-scale projects across California
Anchored by a sawmill and manufacturing facility, Timbershed processes trees (6” and up) that would otherwise be chipped, piled, or burned.
